Help us to increase the green cover of the country
OUR PROCESS
Our process involves selecting native tree species, planting them in deforested areas, and providing continuous care. Donors can adopt a tree through our website, contributing to planting and maintenance. We provide updates, including photos, ensuring transparency and connection to your green contribution.
Identify the Native Species fo Trees
We will visit the land and nearby area and nursery to know the local species for dense foresting. We will make a list of all native species in your area with an ideal height between 1.5ft. to 2.5ft.
Division of Plant According Height
We will select species for a multi-layered canopy, plants like shrub layer (6 feet), sub-tree layer (6-12 feet), tree layer (20-40 feet) and canopy layer (above 40 feet).
Land preparation for plantation
We will extract soil till 3 ft. deep and will add fresh soil and cocopeat or rice husk or biomass to ensuring smooth and quick perforation of water to the roots. By using biomass, we are softening soil for fast growth of plants.
Mulching
Mulch the soil with organic and bio-degradable ingredients, like agro-waste. This step protects the soil and prevents sunlight from directly hitting the plants.
Fertilizers and Vermi Compost
Finally, we will add organic fertilisers like manure or vermicompost. Include some beneficial microbes for nutrition and to keep the pesticides at bay.
Marking and Plantation
We will design and give marking as per selected design. We will dig hole and plant 5 native saplings per square metre and level the soil around the stem of the plant.
Boring and support sticks
To ensure that plants do not bend in the initial period, insert support sticks inside the soil.
Fencing
We fence the dedicated land to prevent any intervention from the local groups of domestic animals that might harm the plantation. To make sure that the plantation is undisturbed.
Maintenance and monitoring system
Watering activity the forest daily for 15 days and keep the forest free from weeds for the first two years. We will monitor the proper growth and any changes or improvements.
