Brikkho Foundation

Adopt a Tree ( Phase One)

About the Project

Launched in 2022, Phase One of our “Adopt a Tree” initiative marked the beginning of our journey to enhance green cover in Birbhum. In this phase, we successfully planted 500 trees across Birbhum Zone One, specifically in Baduriya, Birbhum, 731204. Our goal was to establish a robust foundation for our tree-planting efforts, focusing on creating a greener environment and promoting the benefits of tree adoption.

Challenges and Solutions

Awareness: Initial challenges included a lack of awareness about the benefits of tree adoption.

Solution: We conducted awareness campaigns to educate the local community about the importance of trees and the benefits of adoption.
Maintenance: Ensuring the survival and health of the newly planted trees required significant effort.

Solution: We established a maintenance plan involving regular checks and care routines for the newly planted trees.
Resource Allocation: Securing resources such as saplings and land posed logistical challenges.

Solution: We collaborated with local authorities and organizations to procure necessary resources and support.

Outcomes

Enhanced Green Cover: Successfully planted 500 trees, contributing to the green landscape of Birbhum Zone One.
Community Engagement: Increased local participation and awareness about tree planting.
Environmental Impact: Improved air quality and local ecosystem health in the targeted areas.

Environmental Impact: Improved air quality and local biodiversity through increased
vegetation.

Future Plans

Expansion: Based on the success of Phase One, we plan to replicate this model in other
areas within Birbhum and beyond.
